Three new data centres were built for a client in the Middle East Region. Following detailed evaluations with the client, the Harper Chalice TriSecure system was selected to protect these sites.
Our solution
The Harper Chalice TriSecure system is a hybrid solution that uses both the Harper Chalice FenceSecure fence mounted Perimeter Intruder Detection System (PIDS) and the Haper Chalice PulseSecure electrified pulse monitored detection system.
This combined solution is the result of Harper Chalice’s desire for continuous improvement in order to provide our clients with the benefit of our two leading detection and deterrent technologies in a single world beating platform.
The system provides both early detection of intruders attempting to cut or climb over a perimeter fence as well as offering a physical and psychological deterrent.
The client had already selected ISM’s Genesys security management system which offers full integration with Harper Chalice’s TriSecure system. Data transmission was via AMG’s Data Transmission solution and in total 75 detection zones and over three kilometres of fence line were protected.
Challenges
The geographical location of the project meant that Harper Chalice had to work remotely with our regional integration partner. Although the installation partner was familiar with the two individual Harper Chalice technologies, this was the first time this partner had installed the hybrid TriSecure system.
To add complexity to the project, there were three individual sites, all of which the client wanted to control and monitor from a centralised location.
From our Head Quarters in the UK, Harper Chalice were able to provide full system design and certification along with remote training for the installation partner, ensuring that the client’s needs were met and exceeded.
