In conjunction with a key security integrator partner, Harper Chalice secured the contract to provide Perimeter Intruder Detection Systems (PIDS) to two significantly important aircraft manufacturing facilities in the UK.
Our solution
The Harper Chalice FenceSecure fence mounted PIDS was selected as the system of choice for both sites due to its reputation & accreditations.
The system was fitted to the existing perimeter fence in order to provide an early warning of a possible intrusion onto these restricted sites.
Challenges
Due to the nature of the sites, a considerable amount of airside work was required from our installation team necessitating specialised training. All work adjacent to runways had to be completed out of hours and no lone working was permitted on-site. Despite these challenges, all work was completed on schedule.
